Traffic Management

There are two planned points of entry to this new estate. Burwood Highway and Bronte Avenue. The estate is divided into two halves, with what appears to be no through access from Burwood highway to Bronte Avenue. According to the Traffic Management Report the following observations have been made.

• Expected traffic queues turning left (south bound) into Station Street from Bronte Avenue in the morning peak will extend to 96 meters from the intersection. The report noted that not many vehicles turn right because it can take some time to pick the gap.
• Additional traffic in AM Peak is in Bronte Ave and Clanbrae street is
• North bound traffic will be channeled down Clanbrae Avenue onto Eley road.

According to the report, it is estimated (Section 5.1) that the development will generate traffic at a rate of 5 vehicle movements for the apartment component and 7 vehicle movements for the townhouse components per day.

AN ANTICIPATED ADDITIONAL 434 VEHICLES WILL USE BRONTE AVENUE
AND CLANBRAE STREET EACH DAY
